Alaiyah strut down the marble hallways of their home. The island was a paradise; easily drawing in victims to their horrid deaths. She sat on a marble bench overlooking the ocean before her. Any day a ship would wonder onto their beloved waters.
"Sylvain!" she called to her brother. One thing Alaiyah was not, was patient. She needed things to go her way. Though she and her brother are twins, she can always take the role of the dominant one in the family by easily claiming that she did arrive before he did. Even if it was by a few minutes.
"Where are you Sylvain!?" she called once again becoming grumpier by the second.

Sylvain had fallen asleep on one of the cushions in the living room. He, unlike his sister, was a really mellow guy. He could take naps almost anywhere- the floor, in trees, other people's beds (but never his sister's, he was always afraid to even set foot in her room).
Even though Sylvain was a heavy sleeper, he had a tendency to wake up to Alaiyah's voice. When he was little, if he wouldn't wake up when Alaiyah called, there were always unpleasant consequences.
So Sylvain sprung up from the pillow he was napping on and scrambled to stand up akwardly. "I'm in the living room, 'Laiyah!" he called.

Alaiyah stormed into where he was just sleeping. The cushioned mats spread across the floor and statues on every corner. The elegance was only shadowed by Alaiyah's impatience. "Where were you!? I called a million times! And you know that I do not like to be kept waiting!" she said and jabbed her finger in his chest, an act she often did when he pissed her off.

"Ooof! Um, I-I was just napping again. I'm really sorry. So, what d-do you need me for?" Sylvain managed to stutter out. He started twiddling his fingers while looking at the floor.

She sighed and turned around quickly so her long hair swung around and hit him in the face. (XD) "You are such a horrible brother! You don't even care about me! All you do is nap and be worthless." she said with fake innocence as a way of making her brother feel bad and give into her every whim. Not like he wouldn't already.

Sylvain coughed a bit from the hair he got in his mouth. (xDD) He quickly tried to soothe his sister, "I'm really, really sorry Laiyah! I promise I won't be worthless anymore. What do you want me to do for you?"

She smirked devilishly, then turned her head to the side to look over her shoulder at him. "Well..now that I know..there is something you can do for me." she said then turned fully. "You can help me find my amulet. I must have dropped it somewhere and I am just SO tired that I don't want to look alone."

"Uh, ok, sure. Anything for you, sis. Where did you leave it?" He inquiried, still twiddling his fingers. He hoped she wouldn't be too harsh on him.

"I don't know where I left it! You idiot! Why do you think I'm asking you for help!" she yelled angrily. "Did I ask you to question me!?"
Stomping away from him she began turning over the mats and pillows on the floor and throwing them over. Each one hit Sylvain. (hehe~)

Sylvain said, "Ooof," as each pillow hit him. He sighed inwardly, not wanting his sister to notice. Not knowing where to start, and not wanting to leave Alaiyah alone in the room with his pillows, he started searching the rest of the room. From the sofa alone, he had found two coins and his favorite teddy bear which Alaiyah said had gone missing after Sylvain accidentaly spilled juice on her once. ((Ah, ur so cruel xD))

She looked over at him after all the pillows were gone and growled. "I turn my back for one second and you start playing with an old bear!" she yelled furiously and ripped the bear out of his grasp. "I thought I got rid of you along time ago.." she muttered to the teddy bear and suddenly felt something around her neck.
"False alarm! I found it~" she said though hiding her embarrasement. "And this whole time you had me worried. Tis a shame Sylvain. A true shame. Hmph!"

"Ah! B-but what about the bear?" Sylvain whined. He almost extended his arm to take the bear back, but quickly realized that he was dealing with his sister and pulled his arm back. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the two coins. "How about you take these coins, and I'll take the bear? Is that alright, sis?" He offered timidly. Sylvain couldn't remember why, but he adored that bear a lot.

She realized he really wanted the bear and it only made her feel like playing games. "Oh, but I love it so much~" she replied and hugged the bear. "No two coins can equal that now can it dear brother? Don't you want me to be happy?" she asked with a pouty lip.

((LMAO the "dear brother" just reminded me of Dexter's Lab xD))
"O-oh, um, if you really want it, I guess you can have it, Laiyah..." He trailed off in his reply. Without realizing it, Sylvain's eyes started glossing and he started pouting a bit, producing a sad puppy kind of face. "I-I guess I ould always get a new one...somewhere."
