Adelle's shoulders slumped in a bit as she sat down to continue drinking. "I don't think I'll have to worry about that..." She paused and stooped over more. "I'm a little short on recruits to go to far off the harbor. Maybe I'll run into someone while I'm on my friends sailboat though....Do you think the navy would be interested in joining a pirate crew?" Adelle was quite serious too.

Avenge almost dropped his glass, he was about to burst out laughing. He managed to place his glass on the table and look her straight in the eyes.

Hmm, well now that's a question for a Naval Officer don't you think?

The idea of the Navy joining with a pirate crew was just too funny to him, the Navy was far too large to even be harmed by the Pirates he had seen so far, they wouldn't need to join up forces with these people.

And going out in a sailboat? The waters can get rough, and have you seen the creatures they hide?

So, this was a pub~! He couldn't say he wasn't excited just by being there. Here he would find girls in dresses, mysterious strangers, pirates, drunkards, gamblers, old men, and best of all, booze! He was a bit giddy.
Huh, would the bartender let him get a drink, though? He did look kind of, sort of, really young, after all.
After a moment of silent deliberation with himself, he decided he'd just lie and say he was a midget.
Patting his pocket to make sure the weapon he'd jammed in there hadn't fallen out, he stepped inside, and looked around.

Adelle ordered her 5th glass of the usual then tapped her chin. "Too bad I don't know any Naval officers. And, yea, the waters are bad sometimes, but I was raised on the sea. So i guess it's, I dunno, natural? And summa those creatures are actually kinda cute. Like that big snake one with the big fins and tentacles?" Adelle tryed to immitate one by placing her hands at her neck while wriggling her fingers and growling.

Avenge gave a small smile as the girl tried to imitate a sea monster.

Oh yes, a very nice sea monster reenactment.

He turned back to the front of the pub, a very young fellow came in, he kept his eye on him for now, but it mostly just looked as if he was up for mischief.

He continued talking to Adelle, even though his gaze was elsewhere.

Tell me something, what do you have against the Navy? Can't be much since you wanted to know if they would join up with you.

Some girl making weird sounds and movements caught his eye, and he couldn't help but stare at her. What was she doing, he wondered, unsure of whether or not to be so bold as to ask. He wondered something else, as well, but what exactly that was, he wasn't sure himself.
Deciding to be brazen, he walked up to her, and said, "Are you crazy?"
...Hindsight told him that probably hadn't been such a good idea. He hadn't meant to say that, though; it was just the first thing that'd popped into his head. What if he got into a fight now? He'd heard people got in barfights by insulting eachother. That'd be pretty cool, though, wouldn't it, getting into a barfight during his very first visit to the pub?

[adelle]

Adelle wasn't one to notice things like people walking into a bar, unless she was standing by the door and got hit in the face. "I got nothing against the Navy. I just don't know anyone there. Do you?"
Just then, a boy interrupted her. She just cocked an eyebrow. "Huh?"

Avenge gave a small smirk as the small boy came up to them and just insulted the woman. He was about to slice him in two, but something kept him back. Maybe it was the fact that he was basically a child or maybe because he felt he would be insulting the Adelle for trying to defend her when she was a Captain.

I can handle this Adelle, do you mind if I do?

His hand rested upon his cutlass, as he sat back.

He wanted to try getting into a barfight now, so he responded, "I said, are you crazy?"
The boy's gaze kept drifting over to the woman's companion though. Had that guy just been staring at him? He fleetingly thought that if the fight included the man, he would die. It seemed like it would, too- that guy had just said something like he wanted to 'handle this'.

As much as Adelle loved to observe barfights or be in them, she declined Incognito's offer, "Wait a sec, Incognito, this guy looks a bit familiar...." She paused to rub her chin. "Aren't you that boy who applied to join my ship?"

"Um, I dunno," the boy replied, rubbing the back of his head. "Are you Cap'n Adelle, or just some other girl named Adelle with a ship?"

Avenge rubbed his head, he was surprised. Was this boy really part of Adelle's crew and the two were about to fight? These Pirates were a little more backwards than he had thought. Never underestimate stupidity he had once thought.He gave a small sigh.

[adelle]

Adelle's eyes widened. What she just told the boy was just a trick she used to try to get recruits. A trick that never actually worked, but a trick nonetheless. 'I wonder how people apply to join ships...' Adelle pondered, but quickly snapped out of it to answer, "Yea, I'm Capt'n Adelle."

He hadn't actually applied for anything, but being on a ship sounded like a fun adventure, so he'd pretended that he had.
"Well, then uh, yeah, I applied to join your ship!"

[adelle]

Adelle grabbed the boy's cheek and inspected his complexion. "You seem healthy enough. You're in!"
At this point Adelle was having a mental party in her head. It wasn't often that she got recruits.
