For the satisfaction of all ETC roleplayers, we bring you the advice thread. Any member who would like to write some Rp tips for others can be written here for all to see and take into consideration. Some will aslo be rules so please read and follow~

The stuff you must absolutely never do list.

Don't:

God-mode (make your character invincible/unbeatable, kill off another player's character without giving them the chance to stop you, etc.)

Post for characters that do not belong to you, unless you have permission.

Ignore continuity
(Example:
Post one: Adelle was eating tuna in the warehouse. Bored, she decided to run laps.
Post two: Ama stuck his leg out to trip Adelle, hoping to see up her pants when she fell.
Post three: "Whatcha doin'?" Adelle asked, backflipping off her skateboard.)

Post the impossible. (For example, I wouldn't post something about Pistol listening to his ipod, because ipods didn't exist during the time period of the roleplay. There are quite a few ways around this type of limitation though, so if you mess up, improvise. He was listening to his ipod because... someone in the future built a time machine and sent it back in order to try and screw with the space-time continuum!)

Threaten other players out of character.

Harass other players out of character.

Tip:
If you and couple other RPers are on at the same time you may accidently post at the same time. Whoever's post shows up second should modify their post to fit the story line if it messes it up.
For example:
Alice: Alice and Reya were surrounded by thugs. Their only escape was to either fight or jump in the mud pit. Alice hesitated she couldn't fight and she really didn't want to jump in the mud pit.

Then Ama and Reya post at the same time, Ama posting first.

Ama: Amadeus jumped in front of the two girls, accidently knocking them into the mudd pit and struck down the men who were after them. He turned and smiled at them. "Look who owes me now!~"

Reya: Reya pulled out her sword and attacked all the men. She stood over them smiling.

So....Since these two post contridict each other Reya should change hers. Unless Ama thinks her post is waaay better.

Reya glared at Ama from the mud pit. She grabbed him by the leg and pulled him in.
"Ha!" she cried as he fell in.
That amused me very much.
