Alice and Ethela were supposed to be running errands for the Captain so they came to the Sailor's Shop.

"He said he wanted lots of rum for when we go back to sea..." she said, putting a finger to her chin, trying to remember what he had wanted.

Alice nodded.
"I think he also wanted food and .......I think some more ropes. Oh! Don't forget, we need to get some cat food. Or do you think Kitty is too small for that? In that case milk..."

"Maybe we could get her both?" she asked, tilting her head. She skipped over to a store that appeared to sell ropes. She quickly bought a good ammount and ran back over to Alice. "I got the ropes, Alice!"

Alice smiled.
"Good."
Alice picked out food for the trip.
"While we're here can you go get the cat food and milk? I'll take those ropes."

"Alright!" she said, giving her a salute. She scurried away to get the milk and catfood. A few minutes later, she came back wish fish and milk. "I couldnt find any cat food, so I got some milk..." she said.

"That's ok. It'll work. Good job Ethela. All we need is the rum and we'll be done."
The two girls walked around the area looking into the windows, searching for the rum. Alice stopped and looked at a dress in a window.
"That would look soo cute on you, Ethela."

Ethela looked at the dress and looked back at Alice. "We shouldnt waste the captain's money on useless things, and besides, I don't need a dress, I'm a pirate!" she cheered, laughing.

Alice dragged Ethela into the shop and made her try the dress on.
"Just as cute as I thought!"

She blushed lightly and turned around to see her reflection in the miror. "It is nice.." she said, looking down at the fabric.

Alice reached into her saddle bag and pulled out her change purse.
"How much is the dress?" she asked.
"Three gold pieces."
'There goes the rest of my money.' she thought.
"I'll take it. "
She placed her last three gold coins on the table.

Alice knew how much a nice dress could make a girl feel.
"That dress wouldn't look good on anyone else. It was meant for you."
