"WHY DOES NOTHING EVER HAPPEN ON MY SHIP?!" Adelle shouted before collapsing on the deck. "Stupid lack of recruits..."

"Lack of recruits?" Lilimae shot back, putting her hands on her hips as the bucket of water dropped from her hands. "Lack of recruits my foot!" Her anger dissolved quickly into concern for the captain, who had just collapsed on the deck. "Captain?" She asked quickly, dropping her arms and performing a quick run over to Adelle. "You're not having an anxiety attack, are you?"

Adelle fell into a southern belle pose with one hand placed palm-up on her forehead and her other hand grabbing Lilimae's collar. "Lilimae... I see the light...Oh, man if only we had more recuits...I need...I need..." Adelle's stomach growled. "A cook."
((Glad to see u post, lol xD))

((Yes! ^^ Hello! =D ))
Lilimae stared at her captain blankly, trying to pull her collar back and to discourage Adelle choking one of her only recruits. "...Weren't you supposed to hire a cook a couple days ago?" Lilimae replied. "Come on, Captain! I can cook...a little. I think. How does soup sound?"

((heehee, welcome )) "I was talking about kidnapping a cook, we don't have enough money to hire one," Adelle answered dejectedly, but her ears perked up to 'I can cook'. Stars formed in her eyes as she grabbed Lilimae's collar with both hands. "Can you really cook?! Soup would be BLOODY GOOD right now!!! Lord, I'm STARVING!!!"

(( ^__^ ))
Lilimae grabbed Adelle's hands too, but more in a clutching way as she made short choking sounds. "I can't--cook--if I'm--choking!" She choked out. Kidnapping a chef? Sounded like something Adelle would do--but she was a good captain, despite her...unusual behavior.

Adelle quickly let go and regained composure. "You may go cook now, CHEF Lilimae!" Adelle said, standing up, then walking away while laughing maniacally. Maybe out of dillusional hunger.

"Chef?" Lilimae repeated to herself, rubbing the side of her neck as Adelle walked away. At any moment, she suspected the Captain to fall over and pass out from hunger, but she was more than relieved to see that Adelle hadn't. Yet. Reassured, Lilimae shrugged and headed in the opposite way, headed to the pathetic excuse of a kitchen on the Ebony Edellia. Even though Adelle might not admit it, she was cheap as heck. Lilimae was still rubbing her throbbing neck as she passed down the creaking wooden staircase with the slight thump of her heels and when she turned into the 'kitchen'. Or, more like it, the corner which was stuffed full of cabinets and a pathetic excuse for a stove. But it worked, or else they wouldn't have been eating stale bread and a LOT of rum lately. Soup sounded better than both of those, even put together. Lilimae rubbed her chin as she gazed over what they had to make for supper. On a cramped section of the countertop, beside a half molded loaf of bread (eww) there was a scrawny little crab that had somehow found its way onto the ship deck earlier that morning, a few vegetables that looked on the verge of being rotten (Lilimae had taken them subtly off a farmer's stallcase when he wasn't looking in the last port stop) and a jug full of fresh water. If they didn't have it, she was pretty sure Adelle and the few other crewmates would drink the saltwater. "...Looks like we're having crab stew tonight." She muttered to herself with another shrug. Lilimae rolled up her sleeves and went for the crab first.

Shortly after Adelle walked away laughing, she got bored and remembered that she was still hungry. With nothing else to do, she went over to the kitchen to spy on Lilimae. When she got there, she had just caught her saying the bit about the crab stew. Adelle loved crabs.

"Really, Captain, you could at least try to pretend like you're not there," Lilimae said, glancing over her shoulder at Adelle. "But since you're here...how's crab stew sound to you?"

Adelle laughed heartily. "Here's lesson one newbie. Reverse psycology," Adelle answered, not bothering to wipe some drool that snuck its way out at the mention of crabs.

Lilimae gave a helpless shrug, accompanied by a sheepish smile, and cracked open one of the crab's claws. "Alright then--since you're being rude to the cook, Captain, I'm sadly going to have to say that there will be no stew for you."

"Wuhh?!" Adelle yelled. She pointed dramatically at Lilimae. "You can' t do that to your won captain!" Adelle paused as a thought suddenly stuck her. "On the other hand...go ahead. Don't give me food. I'll just finally have the perfect oppertunity to test out my stuff..." Adelle's eyes lit up.
